Brooke Harrsch is an actor, educator, and creative cultivator, who frequents work in and around the greater NYC area. She was raised in a small town where any mall, movie cinema, or other typical hangout spot was nearly an hour's drive away, so she was quickly determined to create her own entertainment. From enrolling in dance classes at the age of three, Brooke exhibited the pure joy being on stage brought her. Finding her dancing feet, she learned more about what the stage had to offer. Beginning in the first grade, Brooke’s theatrical journey sparked with the role of Flippy Frog in Once Upon a Lily Pad. From here, Brooke realized just how much fun it is to “play pretend.”

Continuing to dance into her teens, Brooke worked hard to earn her spot on the dance competition team at Ziegler’s Dance Centre, learning the value of hard work, determination, and what it takes to be a team player. Eager for more, she found ways to explore her love for performing in outlets such as her school district’s choir programs, fall plays, spring musicals, and the thespian society. Throughout the summer months, she religiously performed in her local community’s theatre troupe, The Highland Stage. Given such opportunities, Brooke explored the roles of Kathryn Schaub in Radium Girls, Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Janet Van De Graaf in The Drowsy Chaperone, Bonnie in Anything Goes, and Columbia in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Brooke’s continued passion for the performing arts propelled her decision to further study the craft in a collegiate setting. She challenged herself at DeSales University, graduating Cum Laude in January 2020, with a dual major in Theatre Performance and Secondary Education (English) and an Ethical Leadership minor. Her education led her to find her true passion for acting on camera, perform in an acting showcase on Theatre Row, and direct the members of her graduating class in their capstone project, “The Princess King,” a semester-long children’s show.

Brooke’s college training earned her some of her most memorable roles including, Kay Mostyn in Murder on the Nile, and Jane Bingley in Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberly. She was also given the opportunity to audition for DeSales’ affiliate Regional Theatre apprenticeship program at The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, where she worked as the Liaison to the Education Director, served as the Child Wrangler in Ragtime, and performed as Clarice (a Jet Girl) in West Side Story, and in The Mystery of Irma Vep.

When she’s not acting on stage or on screen, you can find her cooking new recipes, spending quality time with her sister either binge-watching reality television shows or finding new coffee spots, and being a cat mom to her furbaby, Cherry Eloise. Brooke dreams of starring in a Netflix original series, voicing a character in the next Nancy Drew computer game, and performing in period pieces spanning across centuries.
