The Aery Theatre Company returns September 10th-12th with its first weekend of the annual 20/20 One-Act Play Festival! This year’s competition will be held outside on the Philipstown Depot Theatre’s patio stage located at 10 Garrisons Landing in Philipstown, NY 10524. The 20/20 has been established to provide audiences with short, quality plays from promising new playwrights, while offering a professional venue for theatre artists. This year there are 16 plays in total, and I will be performing LIVE in the original work “9 Minutes” by Angelica Guarino on September 11th, @ 4:00 PM.

Because of limited, socially distanced seating, limit: 4 per order. Wearing masks, even outdoors is strongly recommended!
Following the opening weekend performances, two plays from each group (plus up to two “Wild Cards” for the opening weekend) will move into the semi-finals on the second weekend (September 17th & 18th @ 8:00 PM). Two shows each will then be chosen from these semi-final performances for the finals on the following weekend ( September 26th @ 4:00 PM.)
A combination of Judges/Audience voting will determine BEST PLAY. Awards for BEST DIRECTOR, BEST ACTOR, BEST ACTRESS will be determined by Judges’ voting and recipients will receive cash prizes!
This Festival is made possible, in part, through the Putnam Arts Council’s Arts Link Grant Program with funds from NYS Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the NYS Legislature and with funds from Putnam County. Its grant sponsor is the Garrison Landing Assoc., and the Philipstown Depot Theatre is the Festival co-producer.
